JazzString perform Traditional Jazz classics to modern with their original interpretations of songs from Billie Holiday (God Bless the Child), Nat King Cole (Sunny Side of the Street), Ella Fitzgerald (Stairway to the Stars, Summertime), Chug Avery (Sister-Miss Celie’s Blues).
Their varied repertoire also includes more contemporary songs performed with jazz, blues, and at times, country and swing feels such as; Georgia (Ray Charles), Nature Boy (Nat King Cole), Ain’t No Sunshine (Bill Withers), Crazy (Patsy Cline), Fragile (Sting) and Time After Time (Cindy Lauper), It’s Too Late (Carol King).
These two performers have a diverse musical background spanning over 20 years. Their performance and musical talents are evident as they perform creating exquisitely beautiful sounds of Jazz Guitar and Vocals (Dave), Vocals and Flute (Amanda).
Amanda and Dave have performed at many venues and festivals over the years such as: Woodfordia Folk Festival – Fire Event and scheduled performances, the Noosa Jazz Festival, the Brisbane Jazz Club, Giants of Jazz Brisbane, the Noosa Namaste Restaurant (regular performances), that Place in Pomona, and the Noosa Council Citizenship Ceremonies including Australia Day. They also perform for the local community such as Noosa Landcare and the Pomona Markets.
